How to play Guess the dish
A dish from somewhere in the world is hidden. Type a dish to compare cuisine, dish type, main ingredients and whether it is served hot or cold.
How a round works
- Type any dish and pick it from the suggestions.
- The tiles compare your guess with the mystery dish: green is a match, amber is close, arrows point toward the answer.
- The case file keeps score of everything you have proved. The picture sharpens after each guess.

Questions
- How many dishes can come up?
- 112 dishes can be guessed, so rounds rarely repeat.
- What do the colors mean?
- Green means that detail matches the answer exactly. Amber means it is close: a shared value, the same continent or a number within 25%. Arrows point toward the answer — up means the answer is bigger or later.
- What is the case file?
- The panel next to the picture collects everything your guesses have proved about the mystery dish: details you have matched, values you have ruled out and the range a number must be in.
- What if I cannot spell the dish?
- Start typing and pick from the suggestions. They tolerate typos, so a misspelled dish still turns up.
- How many guesses do I get?
- 8. The picture of the answer gets sharper after each wrong guess.
- Is Guezzle free?
- Yes. Every game is free, with no account, no download and no limit on how many rounds you play.
- Where are my stats saved?
- Your streaks and scores stay in this browser on this device. Nothing is sent to a server.
